You commented that you wanted to be close to God. I believe the meaning of being close to God is living your best life and your truth. Meaning, you have to do what makes your happy at all times.

Life lessons are an ongoing process – so “getting though it” is not enough, you need to be present at all time. Present means, being aware of the issue and asking yourself in the moment, is there anything i can do to change this situation? If yes, do the right action for that moment. If no, let it go or write it down that way you can come back to it when you’ve come up with an answer.
