Windy Day

Posted on 17 February 2006 by Liza Mae V.

WIND NW 56 km/h
GUSTS 76 km/h
According to weather network.

I did not need the weather network to tell me that. The gusts of winds hitting my window woke me up at 6 a.m. The thoughts of shattered glass bursting onto my bed, which I was sleeping on, ran through my head. I opened my eyes to the silouettes of the trees swaying heavily back and forth. I snuggle my sheets tightly and hide, like a child fearing the boogie man but it is not working because the sounds rattle harder, and its like watching a scary movie where we cover our eyes, but the sense of sounds is making us scared more then seeing. Now I have to face my fear of being slapped in the face by the wind, maybe being carried away by it. It reminds me of the day in Iceland when water droplets felt like pieces of rocks hitting my face and my hair was tangled by the wind. It was a very windy day in December. It was beautiful though.
