This past week has been quite busy or maybe it is due to the fact that I am in a transitional phase of life. So many aspects of life seem to be changing all at the same time.
work. love. real estate. photography.
Two weeks ago I started working for talented photographers and directors in Toronto and putting it in my schedule has been quite difficult. I have some renovations to complete, and leases are coming up on March 1st resulting to tenants moving in and out. This also involves listing and showing the properties and this can become time consuming, especially when these people don’t show. It wasn’t so bad last week but since my love left on Sunday, I am one to handle the burdens of three real estate properties. It is like I am on call 24/7 and can not clock out. Maybe it is all in my head for my emotions have been on such a roller coaster ride since he left. I just need to get my priorities straight and list out all the things I need to do, so that the TO DO list won’t haunt me.
On the brighter side, I have two photography shoots tomorrow that I am extremely excited about. I will post updates on www.luxavision.com, you subscribe to the feed or like me on facebook.
With all the things happening in my life I realized that I need to start organizing my life by organizing my to do list. I have also included a live example of my To do list.
7 Tips to Achieving Your Things TO DO List …
1. List out all the things you need to do in the order it comes to your head. Once you have written it down, you will immediately feel relieved because the thoughts of the TO DO are out of your head in physical form. Phewww!!
2. Add a due date. This will define what is really a priority. It is okay to leave some blank for I know we have those pending tasks that have to be done but not necessarily today.
3. Ask yourself, “If I complete ONLY this task, will I feel satisfied with my day?” If yes, then this should be a priority. You want to feel like you lived for the day and accomplished something that you are content with.
4. Do the least time consuming task first. So out of the priorities that need to be done today, start with the task that will take you the shortest time for when you have completed it – you will have a productive mentality. This mentality will manifest in to your other tasks for the day.
5. Do what you can handle, you are not super+woman/man. Don’t take on too many things for you will stress out for not accomplishing what you have planned.
6. Take a deep breath and close your eyes. When inundated with so many things, just stop and take a moment for yourself to calm your mind, resulting in calming your body. This is something I learned in Yoga.
7. Enjoy your life. No matter how busy we become we can’t forget to live our lives with love in our hearts. Be joyful. Be enthusiastic. Be.
I hope these 7 tips have helped you in attacking your To Do list. Now it is time to put my tips into action.
