1. The Truth Concert Review 2. I’m sorry

John Legend & Kanye West
I just seen Usher in concert featuring Christina Milian, Kanye West(right) and John Legend(left). I was very impressed with Kanye West’s performance. He was bouncing from one side of the stage to the other. Suprisingly I knew everyone of his songs … I forgot that I had his album on repeat for about a month. John Legend was by his side and he was very active as well. He can definitely sing. I know he is going to be performing in New York soon so if anyone has the opportunity to go … go.

October 14, 2004 – New York City, NY – Strata
915 Broadway @ 21st Street (21st Street Between Broadway and 5th Ave)
Showtime at 11:00pm

I assume that the tickets will be decently priced because he is a new artist. He had a solo performance here but I was at the Usher concert so I couldn’t make both of them the same night… argh… I wasn’t impressed with the fact that they played the same day.

Usher. I knew what to expect from him since I bought Usher: Live – Evolution 8701 DVD and basically see him on TV on a daily. He is quite a performer. He can dance … sing … and act. He had hot outfits and non-outfits … if you know what I mean. =) Eye-candy. As everyone was screaming … I was thinking that I have that(body) at home … (sigh).

He was on my mind the whole time … and the fact that I saw him prior to going … it just amplified my thoughts of him … and wanted to see him after the show. So that’s exactly what I did.

We played a couple games of pool at Shooters and I was getting cranky because I was hungry. We decided to go to Steak Queen across the street, where I went inside by myself because he was having his smoke. After I had ordered my fish and chips, the lady at the counter asked why I was by myself at this hour (12:30am) and I said I wasn’t alone. I was a bit bothered by this, I don’t really know why. Then I sat waiting for my food, and this couple dressed in black approached my table, and the girl sat in front of me and asked if it was okay to sit there … I said yes … but I thought it was strange because there were many idle seats and she had to sit across from me. Anyways, so I finally get my food … and he is still not inside … so hungry as I was … I ate.

He finally arrived, but he was quiet. He was quiet from the time I came back to the pool table after using the washroom … like his mood just suddenly changed. It was like someone had called … and said something that had dampened his mood. Blar.

I asked if he was ok … and he just said he had a headache … so I just left it alone. I had asked him again at the restaurant, and he said, “I am watching you eat”, with a tone of annoyance.

So I simple said, “Well if you don’t want to be here … you can leave”.

He paused. I paused and realized the error in that statement, and predicted his reaction.

He said, “I’m going to go home now … I’m going to go”. I grabbed his hand. He couldn’t look at me. He kept on repeating himself … but then he said …”I’m going to be outside … finish your food.”

I sat there … alone … thinking. I was at fault. I shouldn’t of said it, but at the same time, I couldn’t take it back. So I was trying to figure out what to do … and how to do it … blah blah blah …I was over thinking. So I decided to not speak … but listen to him.

I approached his car … and grabbed his hand. I said, “I’m sorry … I made a mistake”.
HIM: “I was going to leave you here … but than I thought … maybe she didn’t realize what she just said. Did you hear yourself?”
ME: “Yes”
HIM: “I’m going to forgive you because you don’t quite know me yet … and if you did … I wouldn’t of forgave you.”

After everything was said and done. I needed a hug and he said, “I feel like we are in a movie, and its one of those ‘awwwwwwww’ moments.” lol. Then we carried normal conversation and everything else ran smoothly from there.

I’m thankful for you. Thanks for understanding. Thank you for holding my hand when I become lost. I thank you for listening. I thank you for pushing me to keep focused. I thank you for helping me become me.

Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving (Canada) … I thank you … you … and you. For if there was no you … there would be … no me.

Love Liza

i saw that one video of j.l. ft kanye.pretty tight lyrics. i already pre-ordered that cd…..martin luther is another tight artist too…(read about him on that was quite the dramatic story u had to tell there, lol. i’m glad it all worked out in the end. i’ve been in those situations b4 and it rarely turns out bad because neither side wants to back down OR something really bad just DID happen and the person doesn’t want to share it because they don’t know how or that it would somehow negatively affect the continuance of the relationship…..or at least the night……peace n love
